38 Weeks and STILL Counting!

So I feel like a ticking clock these days....every day I wake up thinking..."Is this going to be the day we get to meet our baby boy?" Well I have a feeling he is going to stay all snuggled up in my belly until the very end. Last week I went in and I was 3 cm dilated...which to me was HUGE! I went from 2 cm to 3 cm in one week! I know that there are tons of moms walking around at 3 cm for weeks or even 4 cm but I did start to panic! Well a week later....nothing! I go back in tomorrow and we will see what the Doc says. We are definitely scheduled for next Thursday the 8th to meet our little guy...we could not be any more excited! Ava is already making room for Baby Landon in her life...when we all cuddle in bed or sit on the couch together she makes a spot for Baby Landon to sit...it is soooo cute! She looks at the bassinet we have set up in our room and leans over to say "Baby Landon night night" I can't wait for our "Texas Tornado" to meet him! I can see her and Landon together now and it already melts my heart! My girlfriend and Tyler took some pics this past week of the big belly! We love you Landon and can't wait to meet you!

Father's Day Weekend

We had the best weekend celebrating Father's Day for my amazing husband and daddy to our beautiful Ava and soon to be Landon! Tyler did not want to go anywhere...he wanted the whole weekend to be spent in our backyard which totally thrilled me! He got up early Saturday morning to go play basketball with his boys and then came home to relax by the pool. Mark, Terese, Dottie and soon to be Baby Hutson #2 joined us for the day cooking out and playing with the kiddos. We spent about 5 hours in the pool...no naps and the kids were great!

Ava and Dottie...this picture cracks me up every time I look at it!

Father's Day Morning
We had Tyler's parents, mom and Mitch over to swim and grill out. We had the best time with them just hanging out in the pool and relaxing! Tyler said that it was the best Father's Day and I was sooo glad! We got him a new golf bag and golf balls so he was super excited! Ava ran into the bedroom with the BIG 24 pack of new golf balls so excited to give them to him. I am promoting him getting into golf and trying to play more...I may be regretting this later?? WE love you so much and are so proud of you! You truly are my best friend and such an amazing husband and dad to Ava. I can't wait to bring Landon into this world and have him meet his daddy! Ava is definitely a Daddy's Girl and how could she not be....XOXO!

Ava with Mimi and Grandma

Ava went around our pool twice all by herself....Mimi kept splashing water on the concrete so it would not be too hot for her little fingers and Grandma was right behind her to catch her if she slipped

Let's take a dip!

Ava and Tyler went for a walk yesterday after Tyler got home from work while I relaxed a bit. Next thing I knew I heard a big splash in the pool....Ava stripped down and went straight for the pool with Daddy! If you don't know....Ava LOVES to be naked....we are working on trying to teach her that this is okay at home, however when we are out in public we need to keep our clothes on! Here are a few pics I got...they are sooo cute...I love them both so much!!

Ava's First Week of Summer School

Ava started summer camp this week at Grace Presbyterian. She is going 2 days a week from 9-1 for 6 weeks and then will start back up in the Fall 3 days a week. I was so worried about how she would do....much to my surprise she did awesome!! She gets a little fussy when I leave her which is a little heartbreaking but no meltdowns! The teachers said she did great and played so well with the other kids. I am so happy that I decided to take this next step and enroll her in this program. Ava is super active and loves to play with other kids so I knew this would be good for her. Since I work full time, we have Gloria (Yaya) at home with Ava from 9-5:30 4 days a week and then I get to stay home on Wednesdays with her. I try to always have a play date or some sort of activity planned on Wednesdays but it is hard working full time and trying to fit fun activities in with other kids. Gloria is so amazing with Ava....we are truly so lucky to have her in our lives. She is part of the family now and Ava just absolutely adores her Yaya! Ava turned two in April and I new it was time to put her in some sort of weekly program with other kids and structured activities but still have enough time with Yaya. With Landon's arrival quickly approaching I thought it would be good for Ava to get out of the house every week and go have some fun of her own with friends!

First Day of School

2nd day of school...a little morning grumpiness

There we go...a little more excitement!

Memorial Weekend

We had an extremely busy fun filled Memorial Weekend! It started Friday and we did not stop until 7 o'clock Monday evening. There was no resting at all just go go go! I had family in town at my mom's so we all got together over there for some good food, swimming and lots of tequila (margaritas and tequila shots)! Yes everyone even my grandpa were doing tequila shots....I think there were about 3-4 per person that took place...minus ME!! Oh I can't wait for little Landon to get here so I can enjoy a nice big frozen margarita!!

Round 2: Saturday we went to our friends Brandon and Jessica's for a pool party and craw fish boil! There were tons of our friends from high school which we had not seen in a while and all of our kids. We had a blast swimming all day with the little ones and catching up on old times. Ava was definitely the wild one of the bunch...but hey when is she not?? Everyone loved her wild little personality and definitely got some good laughs!

Round 3: Sunday we went to mom and Mitch's for a party to celebrate my little sister's 23rd birthday!! It was so much fun and again tons of food, swimming and drinking! Being pregnant during the summer I have learned is not that fun! All of these nice cold beverages while hanging out by the pool with friends is deeply missed...only 6 more weeks to go....WHOOHOO!!

Round 4: We did decide to stay home on Monday and hang out at our pool...my sister and Clayton had a big pool party but I could not go anywhere else. My uncle and 2 cousins came over to swim and play tennis. The boys went and played ...in 97 degree weather...they are crazy! We grilled out and finally had the house to ourselves around 6 and totally vegged out on the couch the rest of the evening!!
