A BIG Halloween Weekend

This Halloween was a super fun one!! It started on Friday at Ava's school party (they were not allowed to wear their costumes...kinda weird) but none the less they had so much fun decorating pumpkins and making fun healthy treats! Then later that day we had the annual Halloween carnival at Tyler's moms work..this was Ava's third year and it was by far the best because she actually enjoyed everything! We have cut all sweets out of Ava's diet so I was a little nervous about the weekend since it kinda revolves around sugar. We did let her have some and she was super excited...us not so much...but she did great.

Saturday was our friends Trey and Ashlee's 3rd annual kids Halloween party and it was so much fun! The kids ran around and played and the adults drank some yummy witch's brew. Then we headed to my mom and Mitch's to drop the kids off for the night and went out with friends in Uptown. We ended up at a costume party with my sister's friends...and then back to Ashlee and Trey's. Sunday morning was not looking too exciting!!

Halloween night we went to mom and Mitch's for a delicious dinner they cooked and then took the kids trick or treating. This was Ava's first year to go and she had so much fun...I had so much fun watching how cute she was. She would walk up and say "trick or treat" and then when they gave her a piece of candy she would say "thank you"....that was a proud mommy moment!!

October Fun

October was a very BUSY month!! As you can tell it has been a while since I have been able to post anything...there is very little free time in this house these days!! We have had a lot of Hampshire guests in and out from Chicago to New York to Indianapolis. First Tyler's little sis, Kyle, and her husband Matt came in for a week and we had so much fun with them. For those of you that know Kyle, Ava is a spitting image of her. Ava loves Aunt Kyle and talks about her everyday!! I wish they would move back here because we have so much fun with them and laugh so hard!! Then Tyler's cousin, John came in for 4 days and got a lot of guy time with Tyler and Jordan. They definitely made sure John left here LOVING Big D!! And now Tyler's older sister, Brooke, just got in town and is here for a little over a week. It has been so nice having company in and out and spending a lot of family time together. We have been having so much fun these past few weeks wedding dress shopping, going to pumpkin patches, parks, parties, play dates, carnivals and even going out a few times for adult only time. Mom and Mitch kept both of the kiddos over night for their second time and they did great!! We are so thankful to have family that loves spending so much time with the kids and giving us a tiny little break here and there!!
Ava and Landon are doing awesome and are absolutely precious together. Landon loves his big sissy....Ava makes him laugh every day and it is sooo sweet to hear him giggle at her. Ava loves to snuggle with him and give him tons of kisses. Every morning I wake up to Ava on the monitor talking to Landon in his crib. She climbs into bed with him and lays down next to him...I need to secretly video it. I love waking up in the morning and watching them on the camera...it is moments like these that make me so incredibly thankful to be a mommy!
